Sean Baca

With the 31st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Chicago Bears SHOULD take Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC

Bears OC Ron Turners draft wish list, #1 a play-making receiver. If you can find a better way to describe Jarrett I would love to hear it. The quarterback position is stubbornly being referred to as fine by Lovie but that argument can come at a later date.

Jarrett has amazing body control on go routes (Grossman's famous jump balls) in particular along the sidelines. He has large hands and an un-wavering belief in self and his height and size will be a very difficult cover, especially on corner route in the end zone. The Bears need more offensive punch and Jarrett could give them that right out of the blocks.

Marc Faletti

With the 31st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears SHOULD select DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler, DT, NC State.

When one tank has to go in the shop, what do you do? Why, go and get another one, of course.

Tank Johnson will probably be suspended for some time this season, and while I like Dusty Dvoracek's chances of contributing effectively, the Bears would do themselves a real service by adding Tyler to the mix, as well.

Tank Tyler blows people up. His strength is something to behold, especially when he sends an o-lineman reeling back into his own QB. After only one season as a starter, we can't say with certainty he's going to make it in the NFL, but the power and burst he showed in that one season was impressive enough to make Tyler worth a late 1st. The Bears draft like you can never have too much depth in the defensive trenches, and there's no reason to stop now.

Cecil Lammey

With the 31st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears SHOULD take DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler , DT, NC State.

The Bears still have a need at DT. That could've been the line the last few years, and the Bears still haven't found the right fit. Tommie Harris is a great player, but he is coming off injury. Tank Johnson is an arrest waiting to happen.

Tank Tyler will prove to be very unlike the aforementioned Tank. He has good initial burst and plenty of power at the point of attack. He can get low and under offensive linemen, rendering them helpless. He knows how to clog up the middle and wreak havoc in the backfield.

Sigmund Bloom

With the 31st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears SHOULD select Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas.

The Bears are looking down the barrel of having both starting corners come up in free agency next year, so it's time to reload and get out ahead of this need before it becomes reality.

Houston should not last this long with his size/strength combo, but he does have some issues with ball skills. He also relies a lot of his jam at the line of scrimmage, so quicker NFL WRs might give him trouble. His hardnosed style will fit in perfectly in the Bears attack defense. .
