Balmer over Groves… and Jackson over Merling?

Really? After SF just signed Justin Smith to a huge deal? What gives?

Quentin Groves is going to be one of the steals of the draft. It’s almost unfair if Parcells gets this year’s Demarcus Ware at the top of the second.

I also don’t understand why the Seahawks took Jackson over Merling. They have a good pass rush, they need stout defensive lineman.

Meanwhile, in the neverending cavalcade of trades, the Jets are now on the clock. Henne? Brohm? A Groves-Gholston set of pinchers?

Duane Brown in the First… Russ Lande Called It Weeks Ago

Regular listeners of the Audible will remember when Sporting News draft guru and former Rams and Browns scout Russ Lande said “Duane Brown” when I asked him who the surprise first round pick would be. Massive OT run once the Bears took Chris Williams, and Philly and Washington are laughing and sitting on a draft pick bonanza.

Seattle has chosen, I’m feeling Henne or Thomas.
