Before the draft, I felt strongly that Brian Brohm fit well in Minnestoa. Their WRs may be deep threats first and foremost, but with that running game, the Vikes just need their QB to hit the open man and make smart decisions. I was surprised they passed on Brohm in the second, but I can understand why Minnesota took John David Booty for the same reasons. He’s heady, avoids mistakes, and could step in if Tarvaris Jackson continues to disappoint and Frerotte’s out of gas. I view Booty as a long-term back-up in the NFL, but he makes for a decent safety net on a loaded Vikings team.
