2008 TE Rankings - Garda
by Andrew Garda

Athleticism is now the order of the day at Tight End. Everyone is looking for the tall, mobile TE who can play tough and go up for catches.

1- John Carlson, Notre Dame – Not the fastest TE in the draft, but a big guy who can get open and get yards after the catch. Also an above average blocker.

2- Fred Davis, USC – Very athletic with great body control and soft hands. Will work the middle of the field. Still has some upside – the best could be yet to come.

3- Dustin Keller, Purdue – A player with soft hand and good ball skills who can do some damage after the catch. Dropped balls and minor injuries are issues.

4- Martellus Bennett, Texas A&M – Outstanding athlete with great size and long arms. Plays very tough and physical. Bennett isn’t very fast though, and is still very raw, technique-wise.

5- Jermicheal Finley, Texas – While he has good height and frame, but needs to bulk up and get stronger. Has good hands, who works hard and while he lacks experience, he has a lot of upside.
