Where to begin? How about a senior season that saw Josh Johnson throw for 43 TDs and 1 int. He put up these great numbers despite playing only 3 quarters in most games. Johnson has OUTSTANDING athletic ability, but does not look to scramble first when the play breaks down. Josh does a good job of keeping his eyes downfield and will wait until all options are exhausted before he starts to run. When Josh does decide to run he has a smooth, effortless stride and terrific pad speed. Johnson may be somewhat of a sleeper right now, but it won’t be long before he is playing in the pro bowl.
Low Side
Garda
Lacks the ideal height and arm strength coveted by most Pro teams. Has a tendency to throw short passes too hard, leading to some accuracy issues with those same passes. In general, Johnson’s accuracy comes and goes and he tends to be a bit streaky. Has had a tendency to make some questionable choices during games (although he often survives them) and needs to learn to look off coverage so as not to tip his hand. Is from a small school, where he ran a limited playbook and may struggle against a tremendous learning curve at the Pro level.
