by Josh Buchanan

Josh Buchanan covers "pro hopefuls" for www.d2football.com, and helped select players for the Las Vegas All-American Classic and the Magnolia Gridiron Classic, and he was kind enough to share his small school prospect interviews with us.

FB Jerome Felton, Furman

Josh: What are your current measurables such as height, weight, 40, and bench reps?

Jerome: I am 6'0, 244 pounds, 32 reps, and low 4.5 40.

Josh: How did you end up at Furman?

Jerome: I was from a small school high school hidden in the hills and very few people saw me. I went to Vanderbilt camp and they liked me and asked me to greyshirt but I didn't want to do that so they called Bobby Lamb and I went to Furman.

Josh: Where have you been training?

Jerome: With Travelle Gaines in LA at 360.

Josh: What do you want to work on most before the draft?

Jerome: Just speed and explosion.

Josh: Who else is training with you?

Jerome: Jameel McClain, Ezra Butler, Chevis Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Chris Hemphill, Jaymar Johnson, and a couple others.

Josh: What do you feel are your biggest strengths on the field?

Jerome: My versatility and speed/power combo.

Josh: What are your biggest weaknesses on the field?

Jerome: Technique and clean blocking technique and footwork up.

Josh: Do you have any players on your team who you feel will be solid NFL prospects next year?

Jerome: Just Joel Bell.

Josh: Which teams have shown the most interest in you so far?

Jerome: I talked to T ampa Bay, Green Bay, Seattle, and Minnesota .

Josh: What was the Shrine Game like for you?

Jerome: It was good. It was different because all of the best players from college were there. It was fun when everyone has the same mindset and it is up-tempo. I am big about competition and being around the best. I met some good people. Thomas Brown was pretty impressive out there.

Josh: Do you have any expectations on draft day such as a round or team?

Jerome: I don't want to say a team because whoever you talk to doesn't meant much because it is still unexpected. The higher the better for me, I want to be the top fullback off the board.

Josh: What are your future goals outside of playing in the NFL?

Jerome: Just be successful in what I do. I want to work with kids and do camps and charities. I want to take care of my family and live a good life. I also want to get into some business things.
