by Sean Baca
Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

QB

Drew Stanton, QB, Michigan State 603 1/4, 226

Notes: Stanton has been training in Florida.
Combine Results: Drew had a solid combine, every throw was crisp and timely and his mechanics were, as always, very sound. He did alot to help his stock in Indy.

John Beck, QB, BYU 6-2 1/8, 215

Notes: Beck has been training in Phoenix and concentrating on QB drills.
Combine Results: Beck showed a soft touch and tremendous power, that some thought he lacked, in his workouts. He may have answered some lingering questions here in Indy.

Trent Edwards, QB, Stanford, 6-3, 223

Combine Results: Edwards looked lackluster in his workout. He had a slow drop and his throws had very little on them. Questions were many, coming in, and I think many if not more still exist.

Luke Getsy, QB, Akron, 6-2, 222

Combine Results: Getsy showed some athleticism and tremendous touch in his workouts. His drop was textbook and he did himself alot of good at the combine.

Chris Leak, QB, Florida, 6, 207

Combine Results: Leak looked like he always does, fast, quick and sporadic. He has a very good drop and set-up but did not show much power or touch in his workouts.

Toby Korrodi, QB, Cent. Missourri State, 6-4, 234

Combine Results: Great drop, release, touch and he threw the ball 63 mph. That is a great stock to buy now, because it's about to go thru the roof.

Tyler Palko, QB, Pitt 6-1 1/2, 215

Notes: Palko has drawn interest from approximately a dozen NFL teams. Has been working out at the University of Wisconsin focusing on his speed and agility.
Combine Results: Palko threw a good tight spiral and had a sound drop, but the wind up was very long and the throws speratic. He didn' really hurt himself, but he did't help either.

Jordan Palmer, QB, UTEP 6-5 1/2, 231

Notes: Palmer learned a lot from Norv Turner at the Senior Bowl. He has adjusted easily to having multiple offensive schemes in college. He stated he and Carson are "brothers first before anything football."
Combine Results: Palmer showed a strong and accurate arm on a deep route and set up very well for the throw. Palmer certainly had a good and impressive workout in Indy.

Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State 6, 202

Notes: Smith will not run but will throw at combine. He learned a great deal at the Senior Bowl and is eager to start training camp this fall. Troy was a very polished but not a rehearsed interview.
Combine Results: Smith was very up and down during his workout. Sometimes he dropped slow and other fast, sometimes he followed thru and others it was all shoulder. I am not sure what to take away except he didn't do much either way for his draft stock.

Josh Swogger, QB, Montana, 6-5, 238

Combine Results: Swogger had a bit of a lazy drop but showed impeccable timing, over and over in his combine.

John Stocco, QB, Wisconsin, 6-2, 204

Combine Results: Stocco was very impressive at the combine in throwing drills. He had a great drop, threw a tight ball and had excellent timing. His stock is definately rising.

Isaiah Stanback, Washington 6-2, 216

Combine Results: Stanback looked hesitant in his drop and was aiming the ball instead af following thru with his legs. He did not run agility drills either.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

WR

Jason Hill, WR, Washington State 6-0 204

Notes: The injured ankle is fine. He has only met with the Rams. He gained alot of maturity after losing father and after mother had a heart attack.
Combine Results: Hill was very explosive in the fourty, He was clocked at 4.32 and was fast right from the start with a great split time.

Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech 6-4, 235

Notes: Johnson did not work out at combine but will at Pro Day on March 15th but seemed anxious to run. He looked great and in great shape and has once out jumped the measuring stick in the vertical that reached as high as 45”.
Combine Results: Johnson only ran a 4.35 in borrowed shoes. Yeah, that's all he did.

Jacoby Jones, WR, Lane, 6-2, 191

Combine Results: Jones was great in his position drills, particularly in his adjustment to the ball. He showed great speed in his routes and maybe most impressive, was his 10-9 in the broad jump.

Dave Ball, WR, New Hampshire 6-7/8, 196

Notes: Ball has spoken often to Jerry Rice about beating his record. He didn't learn the difference between zone and man coverage until he was in college.
Combine Results: The man who broke Jerry Rices records showed why in his position drills in Indy. Ball had phenomenal eye hand coordination on an over the shoulder catch, the toughest catch in football.

Sidney Rice, WR, Southern Carolina 6-3 3/4 200

Notes: Rice did not bench. He is working out in Arizona, and hoped for a 4.47 40. He is self-described as a playmaker with great hands and seems quite humble at the same time.
Combine Results: Rice is widely regarded as one of the best receiving prospects in the draft, but with a lackluster start and time in the forty of 4.53, he will need a good Pro Day to keep his spot.

Reggie Ball, WR, Georgia Tech, 5-11, 195

Combine Results: Ball looked out of place as a receiver and did not seem to be accustomed to running routes.

Chris Davis, WR, Florida State, 6, 180

Combine Results: Davis showed some incredible speed on the go route during his workouts at the combine. He definitely turned some heads with his route running speed.

Aundrae Allison, WR, East Carolina 6-0, 198

Notes: Allison has been training in Florida and focusing on speed and his vertical. His previous best in the 40 is 4.38. Has drawn interest from the Browns, Broncos, Panthers, Cowboys, Falcons, Colts and Seahawks.
Combine Results: Allison was spotty in his route running, he broke very poorly on his first move. ( post corner route) before recovering well on the second move and finally making a fine catch. Which one was the real 'Drae?

Dallas Baker, WR, Florida, 6-3, 207

Combine Results: Baker ran a sloppy route and did not seem to have much body control, until the ball came. Baker made a terrific adjustment to make a great catch. Just a little better balance and it would have been a great play.

Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU 6-2, 212

Notes: Dwayne had eye surgery and the surgery was successful.
Combine Results: Bowe looked amazing in his route drills. He sold the first move perfectly and then got low enough to make a great break, not easy at his size. He needs to get his head around quicker but the sell and break were perfect.

Laurent Robinson, WR, Illinois State 6-2, 199

Notes: Robinson has been training in California. Has run 4.41 in the 40 previously and hopes to repeat that time.
Combine Results: Robinson was lightning in his first forty but not so in the second. (4.33 / 4.51) It is an odd discrepincy but 4.33 is fast, no matter what anyone says about the second time.

David Clowney, WR, Virgina Tech 6002, 180

Notes: Clowney has been training in New Jersey and focusing on speed in addition to his basic position drills.
Combine Results: Clowney had great body control and speed in his route drills. His route running was not great but he did show a lot of quickness in the shuttles.

Steve Breaston, WR, Michigan 6, 192

Notes: Breaston is embracing the probability of being a return specialist. He has spoken to a number of teams but declined to say which ones. Credits coach Campbell for his football ability and techniques.
Combine Results: Breaston showed his great speed but needs to work on his rounding of the routes. He rounded the breaks far too much.

Onrea Jones, WR, Hampton, 5-11, 202

Combine Results: Slow in the first ten and finished with a 4.54 in the forty

Marquay Jones, WR, Hampton, 5-101/2, 205

Combine Results: A good explosion in the forty and finished with 4.54 time.

Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee 6-2, 214

Notes: Meachem has spoken with nearly all NFL clubs.
Combine Results: Meachem ran a very impressive 4.36 and showed great explosion in the first ten. He was also flawless in the gauntlet. He made hand catches, away from the body and was under control at top speed. Great job.

Jerard Rabb, WR, Boise State 6-2, 201

Notes: Rabb will do the full workout and has drawn interest from the Titans, Vikings and Bears.
Combine Results: Rabb did not fare too well in the gauntlet, he was a little slow and seemed to be slapping the ball as opposed to cradling it in.

Steve Smith, WR, USC 5-11, 197

Notes: Smith is hoping for a great forty time to keep his slot or to have an opportunity to rise in the draft. He was recruited for basketball out of high school.
Combine Results: Smith has great hands, that we know, but his running a 4.44 answered the only real question. Is he fast enough? Yes he is.

Syvelle Newton, WR, South Carolina 6, 218

Combine Results: A slow fourty time hurt (4.7) but he had speed in the gauntlet and caught the ball very well.

Ryan Moore, WR, Miami, 6-3, 215

Combine Results: Moore was great in the gauntlet. He showed soft, sure hands, great speed and ran the course straight. He did an excellent job at the combine.

Legedu Naanee, WR, Boise State, 6-2, 228

Combine Results: Impressive combine with a clean gauntlet and a 4.41 in the fourty, Naanee will earn a look in the second day.

D'Juan Woods, WR, Oklhoma State, 6-1, 208

Combine Results: Woods showed tremendous hands in the gauntlet. Despite dropping the last ball, he showed the sure hands and speed needed to hold true to his draft position.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

TE

Scott Chandler, TE, Iowa 6-7, 270

Combine Results: Chnadler was impressive in position drill work. He caught the ball cleanly and away from his body in the gauntlet, but most impressive was the sell of the out move on the chair route. He looked very good.

Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State 6-4, 256

Notes: Miller a.k.a. “The Truth” has received interest from Cincinnati & New Orleans. He has experience and skill at the h-back position.
Combine Results: Great hands and coordination in the route drills. He got off his game in the gauntlet and ran a 4.83 in the forty so there is some ground to make up if he wants to remain the #2 T.E. in the draft.

Greg Olsen, TE, Miami, 6-6, 254

Combine Results: Outstanding. He sold the out move in route drills better than any receiver did, 4.45 forty, and was clean in the gauntlet.

Ben Patrick, TE, Delaware 6-3, 317

Notes: Patrick has spoken to the Falcons, Saints, Panthers and Vikings. He was in four different offenses at Duke before transfering. He did not bench due to a sprained shoulder.
Combine Results: Ben had a great catch in route work, going to the ground to get the ball, however the head fake was very sloppy route running, and will need to improve. He ran a 4.78 forty which is good for a man of his size.

Martrez Milner, TE, Georgia 6-3, 215

Notes: Milner drew interest from the Packers, Pats, Rams, Vikings and Panthers.
Combine Results: Great break and vertical speed in the route work, as well as good speed in the gauntlet, helps Milner's stock immensely. The one flaw may be his tnedancy to slap the ball and not using his fingertips. All-in-all, a very solid and important combine for Milner.

Michael Allan, TE, Whitworth, 6-6, 225

Combine Results: He did not give a great sell or have a great break in route work, but he did show good vertical speed . Milner is a very tall player so breaks will be hard, but he can be encouraged by his overall workout in Indy.

Kevin Boss, TE, West. Oregon, 6-7, 252

Combine Results: Boss showed great body control and ability to adjust to the ball in the air.

Daniel Coats, TE, BYU, 6-3, 257

Combine Results: Coats was a bit hectic in the gauntlet and rounded his breaks in route work. He showed flashes but will need a good Pro Day to help his cause.

Johnny Harline, TE BYU, 6-4, 238

Combine Results: Harline showed tremendous eye hand coordination and soft hands in his workouts. He was a little off in the gauntlet but still caught every ball cleanly. He did alot to help himself at the combine this year.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

OL

Cameron Stephenson, OG, Rutgers 6-3, 306

Notes: He has been cutting body fat and working on upper body strength along with doing basic drills in preparation for the Combine. Has drawn interest from a number of teams including the Falcons and Pats.
Combine Results: Played DT until final year of college. Stephenson showed great explosion and good change of direction as well as proper footwork. He had a very good workout in Indy.

Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin 6-6, 315

Notes: Thomas would love Detroit, saying they are a few pieces away from greatness. He spoke on his leadership skills and his experience on the defensive line. He had a torn ACL but it is perfectly fine now.
Combine Results: He ran a 4.96 fourty and if that wasn't enough, he was flawless in the mirror drill. Perfect knee bend and hand fighting, the only downside was his over-aggression in the drill.

Justin Blalock, OT, Texas 6-3 1/4, 320

Notes: Teams have discussed him playing guard and tackle in the NFL. He has been working out at both positions during his training in Arizona prior to the Combine.
Combine Results: Blalock looked very big and had less than superior foot speed. Look for talk to increase about a move to guard.

Levi Brown, OT, Penn State 6-1 323

Notes: Brown has spoken with the Dolphins and Jags. He said, "I am already better looking than anyone else on the team" He is a very funny and likeable player
. Combine Results: Brown is a very imperssive sized man yet showed great footwork for his size. He put up 31 reps in the bench, an impressive number.

Corey Hilliard, OT, Oklahoma State 6-5, 308

Notes: Hilliard has improved three cone time from 7.9 to 7.25 in preparation for combine. He h as spoken with Minnesota, Bears, Broncos, Bengals, Miami & Washington. He has played right and left tackle and expects to be a fifth rounder.
Combine Results: Hilliard looked to high in the pass blocking drills and needs to work on his change of direction. He did however, show great hand fighting skills in the mirror drill .

Ryan Kalil, OC, Hawaii 6-2, 299

Notes: Kalil was introduced as the next Tom Nalen. He anticipates being a first round selection and has received the strongest interest from the Cardinals.
Combine Results: In both the mirror and pass block drills, Kalil had perfect technique, he was square, knees bent and was using his hands well. He solidified his spot as the top center in the draft.

Dan Santucci, OG, Notre Dame, 6-31/2, 301

Combine Results: Santucci showed a great burst in the first ten yards of his forty and did very well in the position drills. He showed great balance and was on his toes but needs to work on his explosion and high base.

Ryan Harris, OT, Notre Dame 6-4 1/2, 305

Notes: Harris received interest from several NFL clubs at the Senior Bowl including the Chiefs, Vikings, Broncos, Eagles and Falcons. He had back surgery five weeks prior to the 2006 season but did not miss a start. Harris felt he benefitted from playing in the system Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis put in place.
Combine Results: Harris explodes off the ground but is too high in the drills. He was flat footed alot but was still able to change direction well.

Samson Satele, C, Hawaii, 6-3, 300

Combine Results: Satele was a technician in Indy, every drill was done just how it was intended. Great knee bend, footwork, balance and change of direction, text book. He made an impact on the way the draft will look in April.

Palauni Ma Sun, OG, Oregon, 6-5, 338

Combine Results: In the motion drill, Ma Sun did not explode on the first turn but showed a great explosion at the end. There is not alot to take from it other than he did show some explosion in the drills.

Dan Mozes, OC, West Virginia 6-2, 293

Notes: Mozes has discussed playing guard and center in the NFL. He corrected reports of his being injured all the time and said he gets “hurt” not injured. He is very familiar with zone blocking and would love to land in Pittsburgh.
Combine Results: A smart and tough player is how Mayock described Mozes and in the motion drill, he showed tremendous explosion but has footwork issues to remedy.

Ben Grubbs, OG, Auburn 6-6, 311

Notes: Grubbs has spoken with Tennessee, San Diego, Atlanta & Pittsburgh. He has discussed a move to center but is not as comfortable. Improved 40 & 3-cone are expected, expects 5 flat in 40.
Combine Results: In the pass blocking drills, Grubbs stayed very square and had great footwork. He didn't use his hands very effectively but was very sound in his technique.

Gabe Hall, OT, Texas Tech, 6-4, 293

Combine Results: Hall was excellent in the pass block drill. He stayed square with perfect knee bend, he has a great first step and used his hands very well. He was, in my opinion, the best tackle in the drill.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

DL

Ryan Mcbean, DE, Oklahoma State 6-4, 286

Notes: Mcbean has talked about DE and DT but not OLB. Played soccer in Jamaica and has spoken to Bengals. He has been training at Oklahoma State and focusing on his speed and strength. Teams have talked to him about playing in both the 4-3 and 3-4. The Bengals are among the teams interested in him.
Combine Results: Mcbean had great change of direction in the position drills, but needs to work on his back-pedal and get lower in his base. Mcbean showed that his opinion may be correct, that he is more comfortable with his hand in the dirt.

Cliff Ryan, DT, Michigan State 6-2, 279

Combine Results: Ryan showed great effort and great footwork at the combine. His base and transfer of weight need some work and he was a little high in the position drills. Ryans effort and heart shown thru in the bench where he put up 25 reps.

Charles Johnson, DE, Georgia 6-2, 270

Notes: Johnson is planning a full workout. He is working out in Atlanta and has spoken with Cinci and Dallas. The Cowboys spoke with him on a move to OLB.
Combine Results: Johnson, a projected 2nd rounder, had good explosion in the first ten yards of his 40. It was in the position drills when he showed excellent footwork and foot speed. balance and drill speed. He got a little high in his base at times but overall was very impressive.

Jay Moore, DE, Nebraska 6-5, 275

Notes: Moore has been training in Houston. Steelers have talked about moving him to 3-4 and asked him to do LB drills. He says he has worked on his hand fighting skills.
Combine Results: Moore was a strong candidate for MVP of the senior bowl and did great at the combine. He diplayed phenomenal knee heigth and great foot speed. Moore has perfect balance and speed for a move t o OLB, but needs to get lower in the hips.

Brian Robison, DE, 6-3, 267

Combine Results: Robison had an incredible combine. His speed and agility seemed to go under the radar coming in, but is in no way unknown now. He undoubtably increased his stock in Indy more than any other player there. His balance and speed were simply outstanding.

Anthony Spencer, DE, Purdue 6-2, 262

Notes: Spencer is working out in Orlando. He expects to go late first, early second round. He was mentioned by Joe Thomas and others in Big 10 as their toughest opponent. He led the nation in T.F.L.s.
Combine Results: Spencer has great speed and change of diredtion but needs to lower his base a little. He showed very quick feet and except for his cheating (anticipating the direction in the waive drill) he had a solid workout.

Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville 6-2, 302

Notes: Okoye has been training in Florida for the combine. He started school in Nigeria at 2 ˝ years old. He was forced to learn the game of American Football; before that, he was soccer player. He says he has never felt young and seemed like a very intelligent young man.
Combine Results: Okoye came in heavier to the combine, and it appeared to show in his position drills. He was very stiff in the hips and had slow feet on the bags. He did show great knee height and speed in drills but certainly should do better at his Pro Day

David Patterson, DT, Ohio State 6-2, 285

Notes: He has spoken with the Jags, Raiders, Steelers & Niners. He enjoyed experience at the Senior Bowl comparing skills. He is working out at Ohio State and has season tickets to the Browns and tries to attend as many games as possible.
Combine Results: Patterson showed great movement and explosion in his workout. His base needs a little work at times but his speed and agility helped his draft stock rise considerably.

Tank Tyler, DT, NCST 6-2, 306

Notes: Tyler has an injured hamstring but will run. The Saints and Titans showed an interest. He spent a time at OT and used it to his advantage on DL. He is comfortable at nose and says there is no discipline problem.
Combine Results: Tyler looked very big and strong in Indy. His base and movement were not great, but that should hardly matter, as Tyler will make his living in the trenches. Tank had 42 reps in the bench press, did I say strong?

Jay Richardson, DE, Ohio State, 6-6, 279

Combine Results: Richardson had some great explosion in his drill work in Indy. His footwork and base were not on point but it was his exceptional power in the drills that impressed. He also had a respectable five flat in the fouty.

Paul Soliai, DT, Utah,6-4, 344

Combine Results: Paul was simply awesome in Indy. He had unreal speed and footwork for a man that size. His explosiveness and balance were also great. Paul may have been under the radar before, but he is definitely well seen now.

Abraham Wright , DE, Colorado, 6-3, 240

Combine Results: Wright displayed tremendous speed and agility and with many teams talking about him as 3-4 linebacker, he helped his stock considerably with this workout.

Xavier Jackson, DE, Missouri, 6-3, 260

Combine Results: Jackson showed good footwork and even better foot speed in the 4-bag drill. His base and balance were a little off and he was too high, but he looked good overall.

Antonio Johnson, DT, Miss State 6-3, 310

Notes: Johnson had been training in Nashville for the event. He feels he is more suited in the 4-3 and prefers playing the 3 technique. is best time in the 40 has been 4.96. NFL scouts have told him that he needs to focus on his pad level. Teams showing the most amount of interest are the Packers and Chiefs.
Combine Results: Johnson was excellent on the bags, showing great speed, base and excellent footwork. His balance was off, and he tended to get too high at times during the workout.

Claude "Turk" Mcbride, DT, Tennesee, 6-3, 310

Combine Results: Mcbride was impressive in his change of direction drills, maintaining a and running it with good speed. In the bags he had excellent knee height and footwork, but his base was too high and his balance was off a bit.

Brandon Mebane, DT, Cal, 6-3, 295

Combine Results: Mebane's workout, showed a big man with good feet and balance, but he was not very good in the 4-bags drill. He had trouble with his knees getting over the bags but his center of gravity never waned.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

LB

Jon Abbate, LB, Wake Forest 5-9 1/2 , 231

Notes: Abbate's brother died in a wreck and he wears #5 was in tribute. He believes his heart and work ethic separate him from pack. He is looking for high 20’s in bench and has worked on vert.
Combine Results: Abbate had great explosion in his forty. In the four bag position drill, he displayed great side-to-side motion (a man of his size should) and a good base. He did not look as well transferring from front to back but did have a good speed in the drill. Abbate also had 26 reps, a very respectable number, in the bench.

Rufus Alexander, LB, Oklahoma 6-0, 228

Notes: Alexander will do the full workout and can play in the Cover 2 scheme. He has drawn interest from the Colts, Eagles, Rans and Saints. Combine Results: Rufus showed excellent explosion in the fourty, maybe the best of the Linebackers. In the position drills he had great foot speed and a good low base. He moved well laterally but not as well forward and back. His technique and speed will greatly help his stock and compensate for size.

Jon Beason, LB, Miami 6, 237

Notes: Beason injured his knee against F.I.U. He has been training in Florida. Projects as an outside linebacker and prefers playing in a Cover 2 scheme.
Combine Results: Beason is Mayock's top backer in this years draft, and with his tremendous 10 yard split and excellent foot speed in position drills, he didn't fall. He showed a good base and balance but only had 19 reps in the bench.

Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State 6-1, 238

Notes: Paul will be one of -- if not the first -- LB off the board. He had no surgery but had a long rehab on knee. He was called by Jack Ham “The best LB in Penn State history.”
Combine Results: Paul shocked everyone when he elected to run the forty and impressed with good explosion in the first ten. It was in the position drills that his balance, body lean and weight transfer were in excellent form. He may have improved his already high stock with his technique.

Tim Shaw, LB, Penn State 6013, 236

Notes: He has talked with several NFL clubs and has a personal best of 4.45 in the 40.
Combine Results: Shaw had a good split and explosion, but his time of 4.49 was very impressive. Mayock describes him as great energy guy and with 26 reps and his 40 time, he may have done some climbing.

Jump to: QB  WR   TE  OL   DL  LB   DB

DB

Leon Hall, DB, Michigan 5-11, 193

Notes: Hall is following the standard set by Marlon Jackson. He considers himself a film rat and believes strongly in the use of film as an aide. Has been training with API in Arizona and focusing on position drills, cone drills and 40.
Combine Results: Hall's work on the fourty definately paid off as he had excellent explosion in the first ten yards and put up a time of 4.39, a very important time for Hall as he needs something to offset his 15 reps in the bench. He dominated in all the drills and should hold steady despite the apparent lack of strength.

Laron Landry, FS, LSU 6, 213

Notes:Landry has been training in Orlando with Tom Shaw for the combine. He has played both FS and SS, and feels well prepared for next level with his experience at practice at LSU and in the SEC as a whole. Teams have talked to him about possibly playing linebacker but he feels he is more suited to play safety.

Combine Results: Landry ran a 4.35 forty, at the combine and very good explosion and seemed to reach top speed around the 20 yard marker. Landry also showed the athleticism, that has him as the top rated safety, with a 10-3 in the broad jump but unfortunatly opted out of the bench.

Chris Houston, DB, Arkansas 5-10, 185

Notes: Houston has been training in Florida and recently ran a 4.22. He is more experienced in man coverage but feels he can adjust.
Combine Results: Houston dislayed blazing speed, running a 4.32 in the forty and had was at top speed in a hurry. This time will help propel Houston in the rankings and curb the talk of his over-aggressive style.

Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State 6-1, 203

Notes: McCauley been training in Arizona and focusing on agility. He ran in low 4.3s in the 40. He says he has regained his confidence and the chip on his shoulder that he had his Junior year.
Combine Results: McCauley is highly touted as an aggressive and physical player but with a time of 4.38 in the fourty and his great explosio ,he can also be labeled a burner. He finished high in all the shuttles and might have earned himself alot of money in Indy.

Sabby Piscatelli, S, Wyoming 6-2 7/8, 224

Notes: Sabby has run a personal best of 4.39 previously. Has drawn interest from the Bengals, Bucs Pats and Jaguars. He has been training at UAI in Florida.
Combine Results: Piscatelli had a respectable time of 4.49 and a good explosion in the forty. He faired well in the drills showing good hip swivel and speed but really stood out when the ball was in the air. He also faired well in the gym with 19 reps @ 225.

Aaron Ross, DB, Texas 6-0, 193

Notes:Ross has been working out in Arizona in preparation for the draft. His previous best time in the 40 was low 4.4s. He considers himself a gambling corner and sees it as both his strength and downfall.
Combine Results: Ross was close in his prediction for his forty, he ran a 4.47 and had good explosion. Ross most brightly shown in the position drill, showing excellent speed as well as superb hip swivel. Ross won the Thorpe Award and showed why in the position drills.

Eric Weddle, DB, Utah 5-11, 203

Notes:Weddle has received interest from the Pats and Seahawks, among others.
Combine Results: Weddle was an inigma at the combine in the position drills. There were times he showed great hip swivel and times when it looked average, The same with his drill speed, his forty time was 4.51. He did show a great back-peddle and balance, combined with his instincts that Mayock mentioned, and Weddle should do well.

Josh Wilson, CB, Maryland 5-9, 189

Notes: Wilson has been training in New Jersey. He has been working on his speed and takes incredible pride in his special teams work. He was voted team MVP and seems to have great character.
Combine Results: Wilson ran a 4.35 and had a decent split as well. He displayed that speed in the position drill as well. He has a bit high, but balanced back-peddal and great footwork in his turns. Mayock and Deion both comented on his feet and mentioned him as a slot/nickle back.

J.D. Nelson, S, Oregon 5-11, 207

Notes: Nelson did everything but bench press he has some stiffness in his wrist but will be fine by his Pro Day. He has played both FS and SS and is comfy at both. He has spoken with Atlanta and Philly so far. He feels no pressure to be a pro from the career his father had in the NFL
Combine Results: Nelson was not impressive in the forty, he had average explosion and finished with a 4.86. He showed stiff hips in the position drill but did maintain good speed in the drills. He is a powerful safety who will make his home along the line in the NFL.

Daymieon Hughes, CB, Cal 5-10 1/8 , 190

Notes: Hughes has been training in Arizona for the combine. He is hoping for 4.4s in the 40. He learned a lot about the quick learning curve there will be when he was at the Senior Bowl.
Combine Results: Hughes, unfortunatly, had a disappointing combine. He will rely on his film to speak for itself, that is, anyway, where it most counts.

Kevin Payne, SS, L.A. Monroe, 6-220

Combine Results: Payne looked very good in positional drills, in particular in his back-pedal and hip swivel drills. He showed great speed but did not adjust well to the ball.

Daren Stone,S, Maine, 6-31/4, 218

Combine Results: Stone showed very good speed and a sound back-pedal. He was able to turn his hips going right but stumbled going left in the waive drill.

Reggie Nelson, FS, Florida 5-11, 198

Notes: Nelson will do full workout. He is still in mourning from the loss of his mom, saying that everything is “bittersweet”. He has spoken with NFL teams about the possibility of playing corner. He was also voted MVP of Florida this year.
Combine Results: Nelson showed great speed and smooth hips in the position drills, His footwork in the back-peddal and turn were a little off and he had average speed, running a 4.48. His workout probably didn't jump him into the top ten, but he is still a solid top 15 pick.

Ryan Smith, DB, Florida 5-10, 174

Notes: He has been training in Florida and has drawn interest from the Chiefs and Broncos.
Combine Results: Smith showed a great back-pedal and had tremendous speed in the position drills. He seemed to tweek his hamstring in the first set of drills and looked a little off later. He did show great hips in early drill so we'll chalk the later drills up to injury.

Aaron Rouse, SS, Va. Tech. 6-4, 224

Notes: Rouse has been working out in Orlando. He sees himself as a safety in the NFL but has spoken about being at OLB. He is a very large player and has been working on his speed and agility.
Combine Results: Rouse showed very fluid hips and had good speed in the position drills. He also showed an ability to position himself when the ball is in the air. Rouse has great size and may be a better fit as 3-4 linebacker with his size and speed combo.
