Special Teams
Mike Dragosavich (P-North Dakota State) is a name that you need to youtube.
QB
Joe Flacco (QB-Delaware) had an early pass that fluttered, but after that most all of his passes had zip.
Chad Henne (QB-Michigan) surprised me a little today, he looked good hitting his receivers in stride, his passes had nice zip, he was even rolled out on a bootleg and picked up a first down with his legs.
There were several QB – C exchanges that were fumbled today. I chalk that up to players just getting used to each other.
RB
Justin Forsett (RB-California) had great start/stop ability, he looked good as a receiver out of the backfield, he also had the SICKEST JUKE OF THE DAY, he made some moves to get to the 2nd level of the defense, along the sideline Charles Godfrey came up to tackle him, Forsett put a move on him so badass that Godfrey couldn’t do anything but fall on his butt.
Chris Johnson (RB-East Carolina) has such great speed, he also showed great hands on an over the shoulder catch that he had to twist around to catch at the goalline, he also showed great instincts running the football.
Dantrell Savage (RB-Oklahoma State) showed dynamic ability as a RB, what I liked the most was his natural hands catching ability.
Chauncey Washington (RB-USC) had two dropped passes.
Owen Schmitt (FB- West Virginia) looked tough as nails and is a good receiver.
WR
Adarius Bowman (WR-Oklahoma State) looks very imposing as a WR, really standing out because of his frame and his height, seemed to have some concentration problems which lead to 2 drops, one on a WR screen, the other over the middle where he let the ball get to his chest.
John David Booty (WR-USC) looked comfortable in the pocket, and did a good job of placing his passes in the right spot.
Dorien Bryant (WR-Purdue) muffed a couple of punts.
Eddie Royal (WR-Virginia Tech) had a nice catch, but it seems as though his pad speed isn’t what it needs to be.
TE
Fred Davis (TE-USC) did a nice job of catching the ball in stride.
Kellen Davis (TE-Michigan St) seemed to be a little nervous as he was dropping most of the passes thrown his way.
OL
Kirk Barton (OT-Ohio State) showed good footwork in the line drills.
Carl Nicks (OL-Nebraska) was beat by Cliff Avril (DE-Purdue) and was not happy about it.
Defense
Sedrick Ellis (DT-USC) looked like an absolute beast in the middle, tons of power.
Cliff Avril (DE-Purdue) used a great swim move in line drills, quick off the line.
Xavier Adibi (OLB-Virginia Tech) was moving around well.
Jamar Adams (S-Michigan) had the hit of the day.
Thomas DeCoud (S-California) did a good job of closing in on passes.
